Barbara + Pete | Morehead Inn Wedding

Barbara + Pete were married the Saturday before Christmas on a freezing cold and slightly snowy weekend in Charlotte and I am just now finding the time to blog about their big day. Barbara + Pete were such a special couple who wanted in intimate ceremony and reception for their closest family and friends, designed around a red and gold color palate and incorporating holiday decor.

Pinkberry Charlotte Grand Opening in Phillips Place

Last night I stood in line with a few friends for the grand opening of Pinkberry Charlotte. I understand it is completely ridiculous to wait in line for frozen yogurt, but after hearing friends on the west coast rave about Pinkberry for so long, I had to check it out for myself.

The verdict? I recommend chocolate, coconut and mango. Pomegranate and original are OK and watermelon is definitely not my cup of tea.

I am loving the fact so many frozen yogurt shops are popping up in Charlotte... TCBY, Yoforia, Tasty Yo and Pinkberry. Which brings me to my next point...

Which one of my clients wants to have a frozen yogurt bar at their wedding reception? :)

Navy, Pink and Gold Wedding Inspiration

Happy Thursday everyone! I had to stop designing and dreaming long enough to share some inspiration for one of the weddings I am working on with a super fun and stylish 2011 bride.

The wedding reception will take place at the brand new and spectacular Mint Museum in uptown Charlotte and we will be incorporating frames, a photo booth, old english crackers, silhouettes and, wait for it, peonies. Be still my beating heart. Do you even understand how much I love peonies! I can hardly wait for next spring...
